Documents that do require special preparation and/or handling can be accommodated. RRMC mounts undersized pages, unfolds or removes extraneous material, handles aged or fragile paper, removes extensive numbers of staples or clips, and even modifies the preparation process to handle highly sensitive, contaminated or other exceptional documents.

TEXT AND GRAPHICS CONVERSION

RRMC converts the text and graphics in your paper documents into your choice of PDF, SGML I or II, HTML, and XML formats. For those who are not certain which format is most suitable, RRMC is available to evaluate the needs of your business and make recommendations.

OPTICAL CHARACTER RECOGNITION (OCR) CONVERSION AND CLEANUP

OCR takes the process of basic scanning one step further by converting the image into a searchable text document. Text scanned with OCR software will lose some of its formatting, and when a letter is indistinct, the program guesses, and typographical errors often appear. RRMC attempts to limit these problems by using preprocessing techniques (such as deskewing and removing border areas) before character recognition is done. As an additional service, RRMC locates and fixes OCR conversion errors that do occur and corrects the format if necessary.

IMAGE ENHANCEMENTS

RRMC can improve the quality of your images, particularly those generated from damaged or distorted originals. We isolate and filter unwanted pixels within the document, retaining and enhancing text and graphic details. Consider this service when accuracy and clarity of your images cannot be compromised.

APPLICATION SERVICE PROVIDER

Your company may decide to use RRMC's imaging software and data center rather than maintaining your own. We host a variety of imaging products, offer a standardized application solution, and also can develop a custom application for your business. RRMC's data center has Internet access and enterprise-level network storage. We also feature advanced virus and anti-intrusion protection with daily backups of your company's images.
